Forget Tebbit’s bike – Hague says get on a jet

It seems Norman Tebbit’s bike didn’t go far enough for William Hague – he thinks we should be picking up our boarding cards ready to sell overseas.

Brazil Overtakes UK Economy

Brazil’s finance minister has announced that the country has become the sixth-biggest economy in the world, pushing the UK into seventh place.  Official figures show that  Brazil’s economy grew by 2.7% last year, compared with 0.8% growth for the UK.  The economic boom is largely due to high food and oil prices, which has led to rapid growth far outpacing the US and western Europe.
